Introduction
The Mercure Hurghada (formerly the Sofitel) is a spacious, well-designed hotel offering an excellent range of facilities.
The Mercure is located south of the main resort area of Hurghada, directly on the seashore and with a private beach.

Board basis details
The Mercure Hurghada is sold on an all inclusive basis, which includes the following;
Breakfast: A buffet breakfast is served in the main restaurant 7am-10am. An early Continental breakfast is also available 5am-7am in the main restaurant, and a late breakfast 10am-midday in the Azur Bar.
Lunch: A buffet lunch is served in the main restaurant midday-3pm.
Dinner: A buffet dinner is served in the main restaurant 7pm-10pm. A late dinner is also available 10pm-midnight in the main restaurant. Alternatively, guests can pay a €10 supplement to dine in El Samaka seafood restaurant or Omar Oriental restaurant.
Snacks: A snack menu is available at Le Grand Blue Pool Bar (1pm-5pm), while tea time snacks are served in the Azur Bar 5.30pm-6.30pm.
Beverages: A variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available from a variety of outlets 10am-midnight. These include soft drinks, canned juices, tea & coffee (specialist coffee such as Espresso & Capuccino is excluded), local draught beer, local wine and local spirits (gin, vodka, whiskey, rum, tequila and brandy). One small bottle of water per person is provided in the mini bar, daily.
Sports & recreation: Fitness centre access, tennis court (daytime), squash, table tennis, fencing, jacuzzi and sauna.
Times and locations are subject to change without notice. Guests are required to wear a special identity bracelet.All beverages are ordered and served by the glass, one drink at a time. The all inclusive package ends at midday on your day of departure.
Guests may also choose to upgrade to Extra all inclusive, which includes the following;

One small bottle of water per person is provided in the mini bar, daily, and once per stay guests may use 1 cola, 1 lemonade, 1 Fanta and 1 Stella beer from the mini bar.

Mercure's main restaurant serves buffet-style meals, plus 2 a la carte restaurants, Oriental featuring local and international specialities, and the marina seafood restaurant. Additionally,
the hotel has an Oriental coffee shop, a pool bar and a beach bar. There’s
also a summertime barbecue restaurant.

Diving & Snorkelling
Any visit to the Red Sea wouldn't be complete without discovering the incredible variety of life and colour beneath the waves. Learn to dive in the Red Sea, or snorkel on some of the world's best reefs.
Diving Guests staying at the Mercure Hurghada can dive with Easy Divers, located nearby, or Divers' Lodge, our preferred dive centre partners in Hurghada. Both centres offer a range of packages and courses for beginners and qualified divers, as well as a variety of watersports. The area is home to some of the Red Sea's best known dive sites including the Black Canyon and Careless Reef (more info on diving in Hurghada).
Snorkelling The Mercure Hurghada has its own house reef, near the bay area of the hotel, which offers good snorkelling opportunities (conditions permitting). Equipment can be hired from the dive centre at the hotel. Alternatively, guests can visit local dive sites such as Giftun Island National Park or Sharm el Naga by boat.
