Seeing the sights of Classical Egypt from the luxury of a quality cruise boat is an unforgettable experience. This holiday combines a traditional 4 night Nile Cruise with the lesser known but equally spectacular Lake Nasser Cruise, with the bustling city of Cairo to start and the laid back resort of Aswan to finish.

 

Itinerary

 

Friday

Depart from the UK to Cairo. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your chosen hotel in Cairo for the next three nights. You can pre-book excursions in Cairo with us, book locally with your representative or sightsee independently. Must-sees include the Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza, the Khan El Khalili bazaar and the Egyptian Museum.

 

Monday

Morning transfer to Cairo airport for your transfer to Luxor. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to the 5L+ Movenpick M/S Royal Lily. After lunch on board, visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor on the East Bank. Overnight in Luxor.

Tuesday

Morning visit to the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Afternoon sailing to Edfu via the Esna Lock. Overnight in Edfu.

Wednesday

Morning visit to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, followed by an afternoon sailing to Kom Ombo. On arrival, visit the Temple of Sobek & Haroeris before continuing on to Aswan. Overnight in Aswan.

 

Thursday

After breakfast, visit the High Dam, the Temple of Philae and the unfinished Obelisk. Afternoon felucca trip around Kitchener Island. Overnight in Aswan.

 

Friday

Morning transfer by road, a journey of approximately 4 hours, to the 5L Movenpick M/S Abbas in Abu Simbel. After lunch on board, visit the Abu Simbel Temple. Evening Sound and Light Show at Abu Simbel Temple. Overnight in Abu Simbel.

 

Saturday

Morning sailing to Kasr Ibrim, allowing for an overview en route. Afternoon visit to the site of Amada, before sailing on to Wadi El Seboua. Overnight in Wadi El Seboua.

 

Sunday

Morning visit to Wadi El Seboua Temple, with the rest of the day at lesiure, while sailing to Aswan.

 

Monday

Morning visit to Kalabsha Temples before checking out of your cabin and being transferred to your chosen hotel in Aswan for an overnight stay.

 

Tuesday

Morning transfer to Aswan airport for your return flight to the UK (via Cairo).
