An express tour of Egypt's main highlights - for those who want to fit as much as possible into a short space of time. Start with 2 nights in the bustling metropolis of Cairo and visit the Sphinx, Pyramids, Khan el Khalili bazaar and more, before discovering the wonders of the Nile Valley on a 3 night Nile Cruise. Finally, experience the underwater world of the Red Sea, try your hand at a multitude of activities on water or land, or simply soak up the sun in either El Gouna or Hurghada.
Itinerary
Wednesday
Depart from the
UK for your flight to Cairo. On arrival, you will be met and transferred
to your chosen hotel in Cairo for the next 2 nights.
Friday
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for the short flight
to Aswan. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your chosen Nile
cruise boat. Spend the rest of the
day at leisure exploring the sights
of Aswan.
Overnight in Aswan.
Saturday
In the morning, visit the High Dam and the Temple of Philae.
In the afternoon, sail to Kom Ombo for a tour of the Temple of Sobek & Haroeris,
before continuing on to Edfu. Overnight in Edfu.
Sunday
In the morning, visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu before sailing
on to Esna, crossing the lock* and continuing on to Luxor in the afternoon.
Overnight in Luxor.
Monday
After breakfast, check out of your cabin before visiting the highlights of the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. In the early afternoon, transfer by road, to your chosen hotel in Hurghada, Makadi Bay or El Gouna, a journey of approximately 4 hours, spending the next 4 nights at the hotel of your choice.

Friday
After breakfast, transfer to Hurghada airport for your return flight to the UK (via Cairo).
