Half day Amman City Tour
 

Amman, the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan - offers a unique blend of modern and the traditional making it a great city to explore. Spend half the day touring the museums for further insight of the country's rich history and tradition plus take a trip to the amphitheatre, Citadel, colourful souks as well as the Western influenced area of boutiques, restaurants and art galleries.

Jerash Day Tour

After breakfast, depart for a transfer to Jerash (approx 45 mins from Amman). Named 'Rome away from Rome' by the Jordanians, Jerash was part of the Decapolis (the ten Roman cities in the East) that has managed to still preserve its' Roman influence. Visit the theatres, churches, Zeus and Artemis temples, a Nymphaeum and the colonnaded streets. Visitors also have the opportunity to watch a gladiator fight and a chariot ride at the Hippodrome for an additional price.

Jerash & Ajloun

After breakfast, the tour begins at Jerash - one of the largest and most well preserved sites of Roman architecture outside Rome. Visit the colonnaded streets, baths, plazas and more.

After Jerash, head down to Ajloun, where the marvellous Ajloun castle (Qala'at al-Rabadh) is situated. The tour takes you inside the castle where the Arab military were based to secure the trade and commercial routes between Jordan and Syria from the Crusaders.

Petra

As one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, Petra does not fail to impress. The city was built in the first century AD, as the principal city of Nabataea for almost 2000 years.

Explore the rose pink city including the majestic Treasury, the monumental tombs and high place of sacrifice. Walk through the siq or ride on horseback and gaze at the stunning red rock infrastructure and spectacular array of colours that's not found anywhere else in the world.

Aqaba Day Tour

Aqaba enjoys an excellent temperate climate all year round.

Spend the day snorkelling or for the more adventurous, dive and see some of the world's most beautiful marine life. The beaches are of pristine condition and perfect for relaxation. Other local water sports include water ski-ing and windsurfing.

Take a step back in time as you visit the early Islamic art and architecture as you ride through the semi-arid desert of Harraneh, Amra, a UNESCO World Heritage site and Azrak.

Each of the fine mosaics, frescoes, stone and stucco carvings are all inspired by Persian and Graeco-Roman traditions that date between the fifth and eight century.

You'll spend a full day visiting the fresco art and zodiac dome of Qasr Amra baths, fortress-like enigmatic Qasr Karana, the residential palace of Qasr el Hallabat and the black basalt Roman/Medieval Islamic fort and former heaquarters of Lawerence of Arabia in Azraq.

Madaba & Mt. Nebo

The historical town of Madaba is otherwise known as the City of Mosaics. The chief attraction in this town is of a Mosaic map of Jordan and Palestine in the north and Egypt in the south, located in the Greek Orthodox church of St. George. In the local museum are all the recovered mosaics from the local residences. That were not discovered until 1888 by a group of Christian settlers.

Mount Nebo is the burial site of Moses, specifically in a small Byzantine church perched on a hill. From here you can see fantastic views of Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and Jordan Valley on a clear day.

Wadi Rum & Aqaba

Wadi Rum, the largest wadi (valley) in Jordan, has been home to several rolling tribes including the Nabateans who left their trademark in the form of paintings, temples and rock graffiti. The present inhabitants are the Bedouin tribe.

Take a ride in a jeep and feel the wind in your hair as you enjoy the variety of rock formations and take in the glorious range of colours that bounce off the sandstone, granite and basalt.

Spend the rest of the day in Aqaba, Jordan's year round aquatic playground. Situated along the famous Red Sea, you'll be able to see some of the most exotic marine life in the world. Snorkelling, water ski-ing and windsurfing are some of the water sports available.

Ma'In Spa

Ma'In Hot Springs offers guests an oasis in an otherwise arid landscape. Its freshwater, mineral spring and waterfall lies 264 metres below sea level.

Located at the edge of Wadi Mujib, it also feeds the world's lowest point, the Dead Sea.

Petra, Wadi Rum & Aqaba

Depart early for Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Walk or ride on horseback through the siq (a long narrow gorge) that opens up to a natural square. You then reach the Treasury - a stunning building built entirely of red rock.

The Nabataeans had built the Treasury as well as other palaces, temples and arches all with this surrounding red rock. Visit the remaining buildings of the era still in pristine condition on this eye-opeing tour.

After touring Petra, Wadi Rum is the next stop. The setting for the great Arab revolt lead by none other than T.E. Lawrence otherwise known as 'Lawrence of Arabia'. Take a ride on a 4x4 jeep ride as you enjoy the desert landscape and stop off at the stunning rock formations.
