Extras payable locally with The Dive Tribe (where applicable):
1. PADI Certification fees €35 per course (Learn to Dive Courses except PADI Open Water & Continuing Education Courses).2. Equipment hire €25 per day payable locally, for a full set of scuba diving equipment. (Continuing Education Courses & Packages for Qualified Divers).
3. Lunch on boat 40LE per day (Introductory dives, Learn to Dive Courses, Continuing Education Courses & Packages for Qualified Divers.)
4. Scuba Review if required €90 (Continuing Education Courses & Packages for Qualified Divers).
5. Local taxes and charges €5 per day (Introductory dives, Learn to Dive Courses, Continuing Education Courses & Packages for Qualified Divers).
6. Deco Card €6.
7. 10% sales tax applicable on all extras purchased in resort.
What's included
All introductory dives and all courses include equipment. Certification and study materials are not included in course prices except for PADI Open Water Course. Study material must be purchased prior to departure from the UK, or locally (click here for further details). It is advisable to begin reading the manual prior to starting the course.
Packages for qualified divers include tanks, weights and air for 2 dives per day. PADI divers with the Scuba Diver qualification may have to pay a supplement locally for the services of a private guide.
Taking your diving equipment with you
Standard baggage allowance is 20kg per passenger. Some of the airlines we use allow divers an extra allowance for dive equipment (detailed below). Any additional allowance is at the discretion of airline check in staff, unless previously arranged.
Please expect to pay excess baggage charges for any overweight luggage.
Monarch Airlines
- Divers are allowed an extra 5kg for dive equipment, free of charge on production of a valid diving certification.
- For a payment of £25 per sector, divers can purchase another 20kg on top of their normal luggage allowance for the round trip. Thereafter, normal excess charges will apply.

- For a supplement of £25 per person round trip, divers are allowed an extra 5kg for diving kit; this must be packed in a separate bag.
