The Dive Tribe's Environmental Policies

The Dive Tribe management and staff are ever mindful of the effect their actions have on the environment around us. They have taken several steps to ensure that they are doing their best to preserve the aquatic world:

  • - Together with other diving centres in El Gouna, they have installed 72 moorings in the El Gouna marina area. This serves to protect the corals from the damage caused by dropping anchors and to ensure the safety of divers using the reefs.
  • - They have agreed, with the other diving centres in the resort, that a maximum of 3 boats will use each dive site.
  • - There are clean-up activities as endorsed by PADI's Project AWARE (Aquatic World Awareness, Responsibility and Education).
  • - The Dive Tribe applies rigorously the local and national environmental protection rules, including the prohibition of wearing diving gloves, therefore reducing the temptation to make contact with the fragile reef life, feeding or touching marine life and collecting anything from the sea.
