Transfer time: Approximately 45 minutes from Marsa Alam airport and 90 minutes from Hurghada airport

Diving in El Quseir
- Diving is accessed either by boat or from the shore; Pharaoh Dive Club has a fantastic house reef where dolphins are often found.
- Diving takes place throughout the whole of the Marsa Alam region which extends 100km from El Quseir in the north, to Marsa Alam city in the south.
- You can expect to be diving the vast majority of sites in small groups due to such a massive expanse of coast and relatively few dive centres.
- Extremely close up encounters with the resident marine life are commonplace.

Marsa Waled
Famed for its beautiful entry and magnificent gardens, this dive site is attended regularly by a friendly resident dugong.
Ras Quseir
Offers a myriad of corals and canyons packed with abundant marine life.
Fanadir Reef
Home to a pod of 10 spotted dolphins for most of the year; they often spend whole dives with the dive groups.
Further afield excursions run to the world famous Elphinstone, the Salem Express wreck and Abu Dabab home of the giant turtles and another dugong.

Marine Life
The marine life in El Quseir is bountiful. On a typical dive you would expect to see a large variety of fish species including Lionfish, Barracuda, Damselfish, Groupers, Moray eels, Blue spotted rays, Blennies, Scorpionfish, Butterflyfish, Surgeonfish and Parrotfish as well as regular encounters with dolphins, turtles, rays, sharks and even dugong.
Apres Dive
El Quseir old town has an authentic Egyptian atmosphere, with some shopping available but with limited opportunities for evening entertainment. Most guests relax and make use of the facilities in the hotels, which are set in a peaceful area some way from the town.
Activities for non-divers
El Quseir is a very quiet resort, perfect for a relaxing holiday getaway. Our featured hotels have their own range of activities including health spas and massage treatments. For those wishing to venture out there are desert safaris by jeep or quad bike, horse and camel riding, plus excursions to Luxor, Cairo and the camel market in the south.
