Baggage Allowance
Taking your diving equipment with you
Standard baggage allowance is 20kg per passenger. Some of the airlines we use allow divers an extra allowance for dive equipment (detailed below). Any additional allowance is at the discretion of airline check in staff, unless previously arranged.
Please expect to pay excess baggage charges for any overweight luggage.
Monarch Airlines
- Divers are allowed an extra 5kg for dive equipment, free of charge on production of a valid diving certification.
- For a payment of £25 per sector, divers can purchase another 20kg on top of their normal luggage allowance for the round trip. Thereafter, normal excess charges will apply.

Thomson Airways
- Divers are allowed an extra 5kg for dive equipment, free of charge on production of a valid diving certification.
- For a supplement of £25 per person round trip, divers are allowed an extra 5kg for diving kit; this must be packed in a separate bag.
