Red Sea Shore Diving
Where you can do it
You can do shore diving in Dahab, Nuweiba, Taba, El Quseir, Soma Bay, Sharm el Sheikh (Red Sea Waterworld only), Eilat and Aqaba, where the majority of diving is from the shore. In other resorts, where the majority of diving is by boat, some hotels with house reefs also allow easy access to shore diving. See individual hotel pages or contact our specialist dive team for further information.

Prerequisites

An internationally recognised diving certificate and log book.

Description

Diving from the shore is generally gentle and undemanding, and is convenient for those short of time. Sometimes shore diving consists of a short walk from the beach into the sea - other times you reach your dive site by jeep, minibus or camel.

Neoprene boots are recommended to be worn for shore diving as entries are sometimes over rocky areas and may cause injuries to bare feet.

In some of our resorts, you can choose diving packages that combine both boat and shore diving.
