Itinerary

Sunday

Upon arrival to airport meet our representative and transfer to hotel in Amman for an overnight stay.

Monday

Visit the sights of Amman, Jordan's capital city including the Amphitheatre, Citadel and museums before proceeding to the north of Jordan to Jerash, one of the most well preserved Roman cities outside of Rome. After Jerash, head to Ajloun to visit the Castle of Rabat before transferring back to Amman for dinner and overnight stay.

Tuesday

Spend the day visiting the historic Desert Castles of Jordan including Harraneh and Amra, one of the best preserved monuments and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Also visit the Desert Castle Azrak, the headquarters of Lawrence of Arabia during the Arab revolt. Proceed back to Amman for dinner and overnight.

Wednesday

After breakfast in Amman transfer to the 'lost city' of Petra via the winding Kings Highway, one of the most unforgettable journeys in the Holy Land. On route visit Madaba best known for its Byzantine mosaics including the spectacular map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land and Mount Nebo where Moses was given a view of the promised land. Proceed to Kerak for a visit to kerak Castle, an ancient Crusader stronghold. Continue onto Petra for dinner and overnight stay.

Thursday

Petra - sightseeing in the 'lost city'. Start the day with a magical stroll through the Siq - the main entrance to the ancient city of Petra. As you walk through the narrow, winding Siq you'll be in awe of the towering cliffs on either side as you walk towards your first glimpse of the magnificent Treasury (of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade fame), an awe-inspiring structure that towers over the tourists below it. During your day in Petra explore the Monastery, amphitheatre, Holy Place of Sacrifice, Colannaded Street and the many tombs plus the museums of Petra allowing you to gain an insight into this fascinating Nabataean City. Friday

After breakfast transfer to Wadi Rum where you'll be greeted with a Bedouin welcome drink before embarking on a two hour jeep tour of the desert*. Here you'll be amazed at the spectacular scenery of the cliffs, canyons and endless orange sands. Proceed to Dead Sea for dinner and overnight stay.

Saturday

Dead Sea - day at leisure. The lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea truly is a unique place to visit. During your day here enjoy the sensation of floating on the salty waters (it's literally impossible to sink!) or simply relaxing by the waters enjoying the dramatic landscapes and highly oxygenated air. The famous Dead Sea mud is packed with nutrients used to great effect in the surrounding spas - after a busy week sightseeing use your day at leisure to treat yourself to a rejuvenating spa treatment. Overnight in Dead Sea.

Sunday

Breakfast and transfer to the Amman airport for departure.

As so many sites are visited, this tour may not be suitable for the very elderly or people with walking difficulties.
It may be necessary to amend the itinerary due to prevailing local circumstances. We will endeavour to provide you with as much notice as possible.
