Nazareth, Capernaum, Sea of Galilee & Tiberias
Drive to the ancient town of Nazareth, described in the New Testament as the childhood home of Jesus, and a visit to the Church of Annunciation, which is believed to be the place where Mary received the word of God.
The tour continues on to Tabgha and Capernaum, where the apostles Peter, Andrew, John and James are said to have lived, and in whose synagogue Jesus taught on the Sabbath days. You will continue onto the Sea of Galilee, visiting Tiberias and Yardenit, on the Jordan River. It is believed that it was here that John the Baptist baptised Jesus, and today many Christian pilgrims stop here to perform baptism ceremonies.

Rebuilt and renamed by Herod the Great in honour of Emperor Augustus the city has had a long and turbulent history, and is home to many splendid Roman and Crusader ruins. After visiting Caesarea you’ll be taken to Acre, whose old city has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and encompasses buildings from the Crusader and Ottoman periods, including a 13th Century Templar Tunnel. The trip finishes with a visit to the Rosh Hanikra on the Mediterranean – descend by cable car to sea level and explore the spectacular grottoes within the white cliffs.
