Holidays in Essaouira

New for winter 2009-10, we're pleased to introduce the seaside town of Essaouira. A tiny but lovely combination of beach, fishing port, traditional souk and cosmopilitan cafe culture, Essaouira is a fantastic place to visit both on its own or as a combination with Marrakech.

During your stay in Essaouira you'll find the town's bright blue fleet of wooden fishing boats everywhere - in the harbour, out at sea, and, on occasion, even in the car park. You can sample the fantastic seafood in the restaurants or outdoor fish stalls or dive down into the narow alleyways and whitewashed walls of the charming old town and find yourself surrounded by the myriad colours of the souk, where local goods can be haggled for at a suitably laid back pace or enjoy a game of basketball, volleyball or beach football on Essaouira's sandy beach.
