Introduction

 

The latest addition to the Angsana Riads collection is Angsana Riad Dar Zaouia. A lovingly restored 19th century mansion, Riad Dar Zaouia offers a refined atmosphere in elegant surrounds, living up to its name - which translates as 'a place of retreat'. Traditional methods and local craftsmen were used during the restoration process and the riad has been decorated in sumptuous Moroccan style throughout, with characteristic tadelakt plasterwork in guest rooms and handmade zellij tiles of marble and stone in bathrooms.

 

Part of the Banyan Tree Hotels and Spas group, Angsana Riads offer a unique concept combining accommodation of beauty and character with deluxe spa facilities.

 

At each Angsana riad, guests are assigned a host who can provide personal assistance and advice - from booking spa or restaurant appointments to recommending the best place to find what you're looking for in the souks. Guests are also provided with a cell phone so their host is always only a phone call away.

 

Location

 

Riad Angsana Dar Zaouia is located in the medina, the bustling heart of the old town of Marrakech, and the calm atmosphere of the Riad contrasts wonderfully with the busy pace of life outside. Nearby is the Bahia Palace, Dar Si Said Museum ad Moulay Idriss Palace, with the Jemaa El Fna (main square) also nearby.
