***Agents Meet Hoteliers at Longwood Event***
On the evening of Thursday 17 November, specialist tour operator Longwood Holidays held a roadshow-style event for agents at the Hyatt Regency in London. The event was well attended by members of a variety of travel agencies, exhibitors from many of Egypt and Israel’s top hotel chains and key Longwood staff.
Pitched at agents unable to attend the WTM in person as well as those specialising in the Red Sea, Egypt and Israel, the evening was an ideal opportunity for agents to meet with hoteliers in an informal environment.
"We're thrilled with the turnout," said Rafi Caplin, Longwood Holidays MD "I think it's an indication of how many agents are interested in selling in the Red Sea Riviera. The whole region has obviously seen massive growth over the last few years, but the actual detailed information agents really need to sell the destination knowledgably is not always easy to get hold of. As Red Sea specialists, we make it a priority to provide our agents with as much of this information as we can - whether it's through first hand experience of the resorts on FAM trips, online training manuals, or events like tonight, where they can come face to face with key hoteliers."
Thursday’s event also doubled as a 21st birthday party for the operator, with a grand prize draw of 21 prizes, including 12 holidays being the highlight of the night. Winners included Jack Mazzacciti of Jetline, who won a week for 2 at the 5* Intercontinental in Hurghada, Sandra Millwaters of Instant Holidays who won a week for 2 at the 5* Sheraton Sharm el Sheikh, and Matthew Todd of Icon, who won a week for 2 at an Isrotel hotel in Eilat.
Longwood Holidays is currently offering holidays to the Red Sea from as little as £249 for 7nts HB in 4* Taba Heights, and Christmas & New Year holidays from £319 for 14nts HB in 4* Taba Heights, departing 15 December.
