After the tense situation in the Middle East earlier this year, Israel specialists Longwood Holidays were not surprised to see bookings to the country adversely effected during the summer and early autumn. However, bookings are now coming back strongly, especially to the Red Sea resort of Eilat.
“Eilat is really bouncing back,” commented Longwood Holidays MD Rafi Caplin “and the bookings we are seeing are not just from the traditional Jewish community, but also from amongst the wider community – which is great news for Israel, which, often unfairly, has at times suffered from consumers’ perception that it’s not a secure destination.”
