***Longwood expands Eilat programme***

Middle East and North Africa specialists Longwood Holidays have expanded their 2008/09 Eilat programme following the strong winter season that ended in April.
“We’re extremely pleased with how well we sold Eilat last season,” said Rafi Caplin, Longwood Holidays Consultant. “On peak season dates including Passover and New Year, demand was high and we sold out well in advance. Both last season and the forthcoming season we’ve excluded some low season dates which were not performing well for us, to allow ourselves to concentrate on dates where interest is high. Currently it’s the only flight flying direct to Eilat from the UK and to us it’s really important to continue to support the resort whilst offering a product people want to buy.”
Longwood’s 2008/09 season runs from October 2008 through to May 2009, the first time the operator has extended the season this far in to spring.
“This is the first time we’ve been able to offer May departures to Eilat and I think they’ll prove really popular, not just with the ethnic Jewish market but also with the wider market” commented Caplin. “May is the perfect time to visit Eilat as the weather is just right, not too hot as it can be in the peak summer months, allowing guests to enjoy the VAT free shopping, excellent range of restaurants and attractions such as Coral World and Dolphin Reef. Eilat is also really well positioned for excursions to Jerusalem and the Dead Sea so May provides the perfect temperature if you’re looking to explore further afield.”
Prices start from £549 for 7 nights half board at the 4* Royal Tulip or £559 for 7 nights half board at the 5* Magic Palace. Prices include return flights from Stansted, transfers and all taxes and surcharges.
