Introduction:
Sharm el Sheikh Golf Course
Sharm el Sheikh's only golf course is located 10 minutes from the
International airport and Naama Bay, in the grounds of the 5* Jolie Ville Golf Resort.
The Par 72 PGA Championship golf course (6021m)
has matured to be one of the
best in the world. Opened in 1997 and designed by American architect
Sanford & Associates, the course features Bermuda grass and 18 man-made lakes,
which attract a variety of exotic birds,
of which 9 kinds belong to the endangered species list. 1250 Trees
have been planted around the course, including Washingtonia palm trees, Jerusalem thorns,
date palms, California fan palms, Hong Kong orchids and Flames of
the Forest.
There are 4 sets of tees to
choose from, and a double-ended practice centre which is home to the famous
Jolie Ville International Golf Academy, where you can learn the latest winning
techniques. A variety of programmes using the most advanced
teaching methods are available, in a relaxed, low-pressure environment. No handicap is required to play.
The instructors are glad to pass on their extensive knowledge and
experience of the game to help you develop into a more confident and
composed player.
The best features of the course are the large tiff-dwarf (grassed) greens. The green is the most preferred on the P.G.A. Tour. Each green is identical in cut and speed, 8.5 on the stimp meter to give you the perfect, consistent speed that holds the line every time. The lakes are inter-disbursed to force play to golf's truest test, the "risk or reward" factor. The cooling waters shimmer in the refreshing breezes that prevail all season. |

Golf Clubhouse
The 19th
Hole Restaurant & Bar in the spacious Club House is the central meeting
point of the Jolie Ville Golf & Resort, offering a wide
variety of food and beverages in different settings and an elegant
lounge for drinks, snacks and chats.

Location & Getting There
The golf course is centrally located in Sharm el Sheikh's Um Marikha Bay, half way between the bustling centre of Naama Bay and the airport. The course is within the grounds of the 5* Jolie Ville Golf Resort, but you can use the course if you're staying at other hotels.
The course is easily accessible by cab, and is about 10 minutes by car (7km) from Naama Bay, and 5km from the airport. |

| Play your drive down the left hand side as the prevailing wind is from the left to right. Use an extra club to the green as you are normally into the wind. |

| The prevailing wind from the left side will blow your ball to the right. Aim left to a deep green. The most beautiful view of the course and mountains is from the mound behind the green. |
